• In December 2008, Information Resources ("IRI") divested its Apollo software business to Aldata Solution ("Aldata") in an all cash transaction.

Apollo is a business unit of IRI, a leading provider of consumer, shopper, and retail market intelligence and insights for the CPG, retail and healthcare industries.
• Aldata is a leading provider of software solutions to the retail and wholesale industries, providing customers with modern, flexible and integrated software solutions specifically designed to increase productivity, performance and profitability. Aldata is based in Helsinki, Finland and trades on the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd under the symbol ALD1V.

Result

• Divestiture allows IRI to focus on its core business.
• Acquisition provides Aldata with best-of-breed integrated planning, optimization, delivery, and replenishment of retail merchandizing operations. Additionally, Apollo’s substantial U.S. customer base furthers Aldata’s stated strategy to build a larger presence in the U.S. market.
